Dubai, UAE, 27 August 2022:
“Emirati Women’s Day is an important annual occasion to celebrate the success of Emirati women, a source of our constant pride, and to highlight their outstanding leadership and contributions to the nation and society in various fields. It is also an opportunity to demonstrate the great achievements made due to women’s empowerment in the UAE. This stems from the solid approach initiated by the late Founding Father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. It also has the support of HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood (Mother of the Nation). This has promoted the culture of engaging women in the national development process, which we are all keen to support and enhance, to achieve the UAE Centennial 2071 to make the UAE the world’s leading nation,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.
