General Motors Marks 100 Years in the Middle East, Delivering 13 Million Parts Across the Region

Regional parts distribution, bilingual customer support and more than 1,500 trained technicians strengthen GM’s century-long commitment to Middle East customers.

Middle East, August 25, 2026: General Motors (GM) is marking 100 years in the Middle East, highlighting a century of regional presence alongside continued investment in aftersales services, parts distribution, customer care and technical training.

At the center of GM’s regional aftersales operations is its dedicated Middle East Parts Distribution Center, which serves nine countries and 15 dealerships. Over the past 15 years, the facility has delivered approximately 13 million parts, supporting Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac customers throughout the region.

By maintaining tens of thousands of parts closer to its regional dealer network, GM aims to improve availability, accelerate dealer response times and reduce vehicle downtime.

Building Regional Technical Expertise

Technical training is another major component of GM’s Middle East strategy. Since 2008, more than 1,500 technicians have graduated through the company’s training programs, including approximately 300 during the past five years.

GM Academy Dubai currently supports around 1,000 service technicians, providing classroom, virtual and dealership-based training and certification.

The company also operates the Advanced Technician Training Center (ATTC) in the Philippines, where technicians receive training using GM-approved tools, systems and processes before joining dealerships.

“Celebrating a century in the Middle East is a tremendous milestone, but our focus remains firmly on the road ahead,” said Sajed Sbeih, Customer Care and Aftersales Director at GM.

“From our robust parts distribution network to our highly skilled, dealership-ready technicians, we are building an aftersales ecosystem that meets today’s needs and is fully prepared to support the next generation of connected and electrified mobility.”

Nearly Two Decades of Bilingual Customer Support

For almost 20 years, GM has maintained a dedicated regional customer engagement operation providing support in Arabic and English.

The 15-member team works with customers and GM’s dealer network across the region, supporting issue resolution and providing a direct communication channel between customers, dealerships and the company.

Preparing for the Future of Mobility

As connected and electrified vehicles become increasingly important, GM is also updating its technical training programs to prepare technicians for emerging automotive technologies.

The company says its long-term investments in parts availability, technician development, customer support and dealer readiness will remain central to its Middle East strategy as it enters its second century in the region.
