Dubai, UAE, 25 November 2024: Global Village, the region’s leading multicultural family destination, is embracing the UAE’s 53rd National Day (Eid Al Etihad) with a lineup of celebrations that highlight the nation’s pride and unity. From 25 November to 4 December, visitors can immerse themselves in a themed atmosphere showcasing the UAE’s cultural heritage and identity.
Aligned with the #ZayedAndRashid campaign, which honours the UAE’s founding fathers, the park will feature stunning decorations, including UAE flag-inspired lighting illuminating its gates and landmarks.
Cultural Highlights and Performances
The Main Stage will host the grand operetta Hawa Emarati from 1 to 3 December, with twice-daily performances at 7:05 PM and 9:40 PM. Featuring over 40 artists, the show portrays an Emirati wedding set against the backdrop of the UAE’s founding in 1971. It blends traditional costumes, music, and dances to narrate a story celebrating the nation’s cultural legacy.
Guests can also enjoy traditional Emirati performances by Liwa and Harbiyah bands across the park, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Fireworks, Drone Show, and Family Experiences
A spectacular nightly fireworks display will light up the sky in the UAE flag’s colors from 29 November to 3 December at 9:00 PM. On 2 December, a remarkable drone show themed around #ZayedAndRashid will debut, offering an unforgettable visual spectacle.
Shoppers can explore unique souvenirs at key pavilions, including the UAE Pavilion, Community Pavilion’s 971, and the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works Pavilion. The Heritage Village, affiliated with the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center, will feature authentic Emirati handicrafts.
Dining Delights
Visitors can savor traditional Emirati dishes like Luqaimat and Ragag Bread, available at kiosks throughout the park, making the culinary experience an essential part of the celebrations.
