“Jumia” Selects Agility Logistics Park in Ghana for E-Commerce Fulfillment

Tema Facility to Serve as Jumia’s Central Hub in Ghana

Dubai, UAE – October 31, 2024Jumia, Africa’s leading e-commerce platform, has officially selected the state-of-the-art Agility Logistics Park (ALP) in Tema, Ghana, as its new nationwide fulfillment operations center.

Jumia will occupy 6,000 square meters of warehousing space at ALP, utilizing the facility for storage, fulfillment, and office operations under a 10-year lease agreement. This new hub will support a diverse range of products and facilitate order processing and deliveries to consumers across Ghana.

The enhanced storage capacity will allow us to improve efficiency in managing our expanding product range, helping us better meet the needs of our customers in Ghana,” said Temidayo Ojo, CEO of Jumia Ghana.

Listed on the New York Stock Exchange, Jumia operates in 11 African countries, connecting sellers with consumers through its logistics services that enable the shipment and delivery of packages. The platform offers a wide variety of products, including electronics, home appliances, fast-moving consumer goods, fashion, and beauty items. Additionally, Jumia’s payment solution, JumiaPay, facilitates secure online transactions.

Agility Logistics Park – Ghana is strategically located just minutes from Tema Port, one of West Africa’s largest ports. ALP boasts modern warehousing, superior infrastructure, and exceptional facilities management, security, versatility, and leasing terms. The park serves as a storage, distribution, assembly, and processing hub for multinationals, regional leaders, and local brands across various sectors, including consumer goods, retail, automotive, energy, mining, and agribusiness. ALP also features training facilities and sustainability initiatives that reduce waste while lowering energy and water consumption.
