Dubai, UAE, October 18, 2024:
The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with 7X to introduce the ‘Wayn’ Digital P.O. Box service for licensed businesses in Abu Dhabi. This initiative aims to enhance the local business environment, drive digital transformation, and provide secure postal services.
The Wayn platform offers businesses and individuals a permanent digital address linked to their physical addresses, verified through national IDs or the National Economic Register (NER). This service safeguards against cybersecurity threats like phishing and spam, allowing users to receive shipments at various locations, including Emirates Post branches and their homes.
The partnership will improve operational efficiency by reducing delivery times by up to 70% and cutting costs by up to 65%. H.E. Mohammed Munif Al Mansouri emphasized the initiative’s role in developing Abu Dhabi’s business ecosystem, while H.E. Abdullah Mohammed Alashram highlighted the agreement’s potential to strengthen the UAE’s digital communication infrastructure. This collaboration marks a significant step in enhancing cooperation between government and private sectors to keep pace with technological advancements.
