Ferrari unveiled the all-new Ferrari Luce in Rome, marking a major milestone in the Maranello marque’s history as its first fully electric high-performance sports car. The launch signals a new chapter in Ferrari’s multi-energy strategy, combining electrification with the brand’s traditional focus on performance, innovation, and driving engagement.
The Ferrari Luce was developed entirely in-house in Maranello, including its electric engines, battery pack, and advanced control systems. Ferrari said the project generated more than 60 new patents and represents a new interpretation of the Ferrari experience rather than simply an “electric Ferrari.”
Designed in collaboration with LoveFrom, the creative collective led by Sir Jony Ive and Marc Newson, the car introduces a fresh design language while maintaining Ferrari’s unmistakable identity. The model features a spacious five-seat configuration with four doors, made possible by its electric architecture, alongside a minimalist and highly refined interior blending physical controls with digital interfaces.
Technically, the Ferrari Luce delivers extraordinary performance figures, including 0–100 km/h acceleration in 2.5 seconds, 0–200 km/h in 6.8 seconds, top speed exceeding 310 km/h, and a driving range of more than 530 km. The vehicle is powered by four electric motors — one for each wheel — supported by a 122 kWh battery and advanced torque vectoring, active suspension, and rear-wheel steering systems.
Ferrari also focused heavily on preserving emotional engagement through a patented sound system that reproduces authentic mechanical vibrations and driving feedback. The company stated that the Luce benefits from advanced noise, vibration, and harshness research, making it the most comfortable Ferrari ever produced.
Aerodynamics and efficiency played a central role in the development of the car. Ferrari said the Luce achieves the lowest drag coefficient ever recorded for a Maranello road car while integrating active aerodynamic systems, intelligent cooling management, and fast charging capabilities of up to 350 kW.
The launch of the Ferrari Luce highlights Ferrari’s strategy of combining electrification with the brand’s heritage of engineering excellence, high performance, and innovation, opening the door to a completely new category within the Ferrari lineup.
