DEWA and TÜV Rheinland Academy launch the 3rd cycle of the Sustainability Manager Professional Certification Programme

Dubai, UAE, 10 January 2025: The Sustainability and Innovation Centre of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and TÜV Rheinland Academy launched the third cycle of the Sustainability Manager Professional Certification Programme. The programme aims to develop environmental, social and governance (ESG) skills and foster effective sustainability management practices in various fields. Since its launch, the programme has attracted more than 80 requests for participation from 30 entities, and 41 participants have graduated.

The programme promotes the Sustainability and Innovation Centre’s contribution to refining expertise and skills, and qualifying professionals to become the next generation of sustainability leaders and experts. It engages everyone in positive change and enhances the competitiveness of clean and renewable energy, as well as sustainable businesses, in line with the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050.

The programme enables participants to improve their sustainability performance and achieve their strategies and objectives. It focuses on several aspects, including responsible supply chain management, lifecycle and carbon footprint assessments, and how sustainability strategies are anchored in organisations. It also focuses on the significance, value and opportunities availed by sustainability reporting, and the essentials for preparing sustainability reports. After completing the training and evaluation, participants will receive a professional certificate.
