Trump declares victory on cusp of historic White House comeback

Donald Trump has officially won the US presidential election, defeating Kamala Harris and securing his return to the White House in a historic political comeback.

Addressing ecstatic supporters at a victory celebration in Florida, Trump declared that they were about to enter “a new golden age for America.” He is now the first former president in over 130 years to be re-elected after leaving office.

According to CBS projections, Trump reached and surpassed the 270 electoral college votes required to clinch the presidency. Additionally, Republicans have won majority control of the Senate, further strengthening his position for his second term.

In West Palm Beach, Trump told his supporters, “This is a magnificent victory for the American people, marking the start of a golden age for our nation.”

Billionaire Elon Musk, a strong Trump backer, was with him as the results rolled in. Trump managed to sweep all key battleground states, including Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Michigan, and he even won the national popular vote this time—a milestone he missed in 2016.

As expected, Trump secured conservative states across the country, while Harris won traditional Democratic strongholds. Harris, who had been set to speak at her alma mater, Howard University in Washington, DC, did not make an appearance following the announcement of the final results.

This victory cements Trump’s political comeback, ushering in a new chapter for the United States.
