Dubai, UAE, October 18, 2024: At GITEX Global 2024, Dubai Land Department signed a memorandum of cooperation with Dubai Courts and Digital Dubai to develop a centralised platform for real estate auction information. The agreement also establishes mechanisms for evaluating and licensing auction companies and creating a public registry for these entities.
The memorandum was signed by His Excellency Eng. Marwan Ahmed Bin Ghalita, Director General of Dubai Land Department; His Excellency Prof. Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director General of Dubai Courts; and His Excellency Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai.
His Excellency Eng. Marwan Ahmed Bin Ghalita stated, “This collaboration marks a strategic move to strengthen partnerships between government entities in Dubai, aligning with our leadership’s vision of achieving service excellence through integration and cooperation. Beyond enhancing efficiency and accessibility, this initiative aims to improve transparency and build trust in the real estate sector by offering innovative, tech-driven services. Our goal is to position Dubai as a leading global smart city and advance sustainable development that meets the aspirations of its residents.”
His Excellency Prof. Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi commented that the agreement aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to make Dubai the world’s smartest and happiest city. “This partnership underscores our commitment to progress and innovation, enhancing quality of life and service standards for all. Dubai’s leadership in global innovation is rooted in its adaptability and embrace of cutting-edge technology. This agreement exemplifies that spirit by streamlining legal and property processes through comprehensive digitalisation.”
Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai, added, “Real estate is a key economic driver for Dubai, and it is crucial to collaborate on digital solutions for this sector. This platform will significantly boost transparency and accessibility, aligning with Digital Dubai’s vision of digitising life in the emirate. Our partnership aims to maximise the benefits of advanced digital technologies in strategic sectors, attract investment, and achieve the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.”
The memorandum commits all parties to collaborate on joint initiatives, automate integration with the real estate auction system, and review service level agreements. It also includes launching awareness campaigns, incentivising auction participation, and updating regulations. The partnership seeks to create user-friendly digital platforms with clear performance indicators, supporting Dubai’s vision for comprehensive digital transformation and sustainable real estate development.
