Dubai, UAE – The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, has launched the Dubai Startup Guide, a comprehensive resource designed to help entrepreneurs and startups establish and grow their businesses in Dubai.
The guide offers an extensive overview of the emirate’s startup landscape, including key requirements for setting up a business, such as legal considerations, setup options, and funding opportunities. It also features a list of essential entities that support startups, as well as information on Dubai’s accelerators, business incubators, sandboxes, and free zones.
This launch coincides with the upcoming Expand North Star 2024, the world’s largest startup and investor gathering. Organized by the Dubai World Trade Centre and hosted by the Chamber, the event will take place at Dubai Harbour from October 14 to 16.
The Dubai Startup Guide provides sector-specific advice for launching businesses in ten areas of the digital economy, including artificial intelligence, 3D printing, cybersecurity, digital assets, fintech, edtech, gaming, healthtech, software/SaaS, and the metaverse/Web3. It highlights specialized free zones, accelerators, incubators, events, and regulations related to each sector.
Designed to assist both local and international startups, the guide empowers entrepreneurs to make informed decisions and capitalize on Dubai’s status as a global business hub. It offers practical advice, online resources, and recommendations for tailored support, helping startups confidently launch or expand in the emirate.
Expand North Star 2024 will host around 1,200 vetted investors and approximately 1,800 startups from over 100 countries, marking a record number of late-stage startups at a single event. This growth underscores the event’s importance in the global digital economy.
