Dubai: Dicode Technologies has announced a strategic partnership with InfraX, the Information Communication and Technology arm of Digital DEWA (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority). This collaboration aims to introduce an innovative ‘end-to-end’ solution for gas companies across the UAE, facilitating the transition from traditional analogue meters to Smart Infrastructure. This initiative aligns with Dubai’s vision of becoming the world’s digital capital.
InfraX, known for its high-performance network infrastructure solutions throughout the UAE, will work with Dicode to implement LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) technology. This partnership will enable gas companies to upgrade their existing infrastructure efficiently.
The solution will be offered under a Platform as a Service (PaaS) model, which encompasses an advanced smart gas meter, a communication solution powered by InfraX, and a patented IoT software solution. This PaaS approach allows gas companies and other utility providers to transition from analogue systems to smart solutions swiftly and effectively, shifting from a capital expenditure (Capex) to an operational expenditure (Opex) model.
Additionally, the partnership aims to address various market segments with customized solutions tailored to specific requirements, ultimately revolutionizing the utilities landscape in the UAE.
