Dubai, 23 May 2024: Dubai World Trade Centre has introduced a new Home Business Package for its residential community, Expo Village, located at Expo City Dubai.

The new offering is tailored to meet the needs of Dubai’s expanding entrepreneurial community, catering to first-time business owners, start-ups, entrepreneurs, and SMEs. It allows them to obtain a DWTC Free Zone company licence and employee visas based on a residential lease, eliminating the costs associated with renting dedicated office space. This move reflects Dubai’s growing status as one of the top global cities to work and live in.

Developed to address the global rise in flexible working models, the Home Business Package caters to entrepreneurs and digital nomads seeking a more versatile approach to business set-up and new company formation. Expo Village, a thriving community in the heart of Expo City Dubai, is an ideal base for fostering the next-generation ecosystem of hybrid work and work-from-home culture. Served by a robust public and private transport infrastructure network including the Dubai Metro and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC), residents of Expo Village can take advantage of car-free daily commutes to surrounding business districts, including Dubai Investment Park, Jafza, DMCC and Dubai Internet City.

There are currently four Home Business Packages exclusive to Expo Village, inclusive of membership access to the state-of-the-art Expo Village WorkHub co-working community and facilities.

“DWTC’s unique offering for residents of Expo Village provides a sought-after proposition for entrepreneurs and SMEs seeking entry to the local market through a competitive and well-regulated ecosystem. Expo Village Residences with its Home Business Package will attract new businesses to this future corridor of growth and provide an active gateway to regional opportunity”, said Abdalla Al Banna, Vice President, Free Zone Regulatory Operations at Dubai World Trade Centre Authority.

The newly introduced Home Business Packages are initially available for selectlicence types and business activities in sectors like information technology, healthcare, education, management consulting, research, events and entertainment, design and production and e-commerce.

Developed by Dubai World Trade Centre, Expo Village is located at Expo City Dubai. Offering modern and accessible community living across four residential clusters consisting of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments, Expo Village features an abundance of greenery, including the 37,000-square-metre Expo Park, a jogging path, access to a cycling track, supermarket, pharmacy, salon, and eateries, with more expected to open as part of the residential community development.

“Dubai is a globally acknowledged hub for ambitious entrepreneurs, innovative start-ups, freelance consultants and SMEs, who not only want to benefit from its pro-business setup advantage but are also looking for a quality lifestyle experience. The new Home Business experience for the Expo Village Residents, will provide a new avenue of opportunity for business owners for whom the convenience of operating from home is a highly desirable fit,” concluded Al Banna.
