08 November 2023: Sky News Arabia has announced its participation in the second edition of the Global Media Congress, held in Abu Dhabi from the 14-16 November 2023. Visitors can take part in distinctive workshops presented by the Sky News Arabia Academy to highlight the most important issues, developments, and trends in the Arab and global media landscape.
The workshop topics align with the themes of this year’s Global Media Congress, which will take place in Workshop Hall 1 of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) and will cover topics such as sustainable media, innovation, youth, education, and the future of media.
On November 14th, from 11 AM to 12 PM, senior news and program presenter Chantal Saliba will lead a workshop on “Sky News Arabia’s Sustainability and Climate Change Coverage,” which aims to enlighten the audience about Sky News Arabia’s extensive coverage of sustainability and climate change, exemplified through its ‘Our Planet’ program.
On November 15th, news and program presenter Imane Lahrache will deliver the “Developing Your TV Skills” workshop from 11 AM to 12 PM. It will reveal ways for aspiring talents to build a confident media persona, focusing on body language, communication, camera interaction, vocal tone, breathing techniques, and other essential skills.
On the third day, November 16th, Head of Digital Transformation, Roland Barbar, will present the workshop “Successful Digital Transformation Strategies” to shine a light on the latest trends and transformations in the digital media landscape. Participants will learn how to develop practical strategies discussed during the session, helping them to begin their professional journey in the digital media world.
Visitors at the event will have the opportunity to participate in a series of brief workshops introducing them to the most recent media trends and challenges in Hall 11. On November 14th and 15th, program producer Abdalla Abudyak will delve into the topic of “3 Seconds Rule in Content Creation for Social Media” and “Artificial Intelligence in Production.” On November 14th, Varoujan Joulfayan, Head of Creative at Sky News Arabia, will present “Storytelling through Virtual Reality”, and on November 16th, distinguished news and program presenter Michella Haddad will offer insights into refining your TV presentation skills during her workshop, “TV Presenting.”
The Global Media Congress is scheduled to take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 14-16 November 2023. This event will feature an exhibition where leading international and local brands will showcase the latest technologies, products, and services in the media sector. The Congress will also host discussions led by international media pioneers, exploring the sector’s latest topics and trends. This year’s edition will reintroduce the six initiatives organized by the event, serving as platforms for knowledge exchange, shared experiences, and inspirational milestones that contribute to shaping the future of media.
