Dubai International Chamber successfully facilitates expansion of Dubai companies into foreign markets

  • During its mission the chamber facilitated more than 430 B2B meetings between representatives of 24 Dubai companies and their relevant counterparts in these markets.

Dubai, UAE – Dubai International Chamber, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, has successfully concluded its trade mission to Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan last week. During its mission the chamber facilitated more than 430 B2B meetings between representatives of 24 Dubai companies and their relevant counterparts in these markets.

Businessmen who participated in the trade mission affirmed that the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 supports their strategies for international expansion. The economic agenda enhances their businesses competitiveness and ability to enter new markets. D33’s ambitious goals motivate investors to expand their foreign exports and establish economic partnerships around the world.

Representatives of the Dubai-based private companies emphasize the importance of the emirate as a global hub for their business, underlining that Dubai offers them confidence with a vibrant business ecosystem, a key factor in supporting their expansion to global markets from the emirate.

Several Dubai-based companies have already succeeded in either concluding deals to grow their exports to these markets or establish a presence for their operations in these markets. The outcomes of these deals support the

objectives of Dubai’s economic agenda and aligns with the chamber’s strategic goal to support the expansion of 100 companies from Dubai to foreign markets by the end of 2024.

Assouma: Dubai’s D33 economic agenda has given him more confidence and enthusiasm for the future and the expansion of his business in foreign markets.

Commenting on his participation with the mission, Rashid Assouma, CEO of Homepital, said that the chamber’s trade mission to Central Asia opened new opportunities in untapped markets for his business. Specializing in remote health care technologies and AI, he revealed that the company is currently negotiating deals with prospects to sign several joint agreements soon.

Assouma pointed out that the presence of his company in Dubai offered him a competitive advantage to expand to other markets including Africa. Additionally, Dubai’s D33 economic agenda has also given him more confidence and enthusiasm for the future and the expansion of his business in foreign markets.

Arafeh: Dubai is an incubator for his company and Dubai’s wise leadership and the futuristic plans helps enhance the competitiveness of his business.

Sharing similar sentiments, Safwan Arafeh, President of SA Group Dubai, a company providing branded generic medicines and food supplements in the pharmaceutical industry, said that the trade mission was a success and achieved the objectives of his company as it helped establish links with potential clients and customers in Central Asia.

Arafeh managed to secure a preliminary deal to export his pharmaceutical products to one of these markets. His decision to transfer the operations of his pharmaceutical business to Dubai in 2006 was a success and was based on

several strategic factors including the developed infrastructure of Dubai and its connectivity to global markets especially as his company exports to almost 40 countries. He said that Dubai is an incubator for his company and Dubai’s wise leadership and the futuristic plans including D33 help enhance the competitiveness of his business.

Al Kaabi: UAE’s expertise in food waste treatment is an area of national pride.

Maher Al Kaabi, a member of the Board of Directors of Al Serkal Group, said that the trade mission was a success as Dubai International Chamber managed to bring together businessmen from both sides to discuss and mitigate challenges. He highlighted the UAE’s experience in Fat, Oil and Grease waste recycling from food facilities is a source of national pride and an experience that should be transferred to other markets.

Kausar: Dubai implies trust for the global business community as it is an international hub.

Muhammad Kausar, Marketing Manager at Sea Transit Shipping, said that the trade mission helped in providing direct connections with the clients in Central Asia. The mission has introduced him to new opportunities in grain exports. Kausar underlined that Dubai implies trust for the global business community as it is an international hub. Dubai is the center of his business to export goods from Africa, India and the GCC countries to Central Asia.

Shubair: Three agreements with Central Asian companies.

Speaking highly of the trade mission and the B2B meetings held, Eng. Saleem Ramadan Saleem Shubair, CEO of Euro Holography, said that he managed to close three agreements with Central Asian companies during the mission which could not have happened without the support of Dubai International Chamber. Shubair underscored the fact that Dubai is an ideal

destination for innovation and technology and a leading global center for business in all fields.

Palekar: Dubai’s openness to global markets enhances and supports the growth of businesses operating in the emirate.

Jameel Palekar, Manager at Meshkat Electricals, said that the mission was exemplary as he could not have explored export opportunities to these markets without the support of the Dubai International Chamber. Palekar added that Dubai is the basis for the company’s growth as Dubai’s openness to global markets enhances and supports the growth of businesses operating in the emirate.

Chara: D33 is the key to growing his business and a motivation for him to fully invest in Dubai.

Muhammad Arif Chara, Director of Electric Avenue Trading, indicated that Dubai acted as an incubator for his business as he launched his brand from Dubai to 35 markets across the globe. He now aims to export his products to hypermarkets in Central Asia. Chara believes that D33 is the key to growing his business and a motivation for him to fully invest in Dubai.

Thayyil: Dubai is a proactive city and he plans to manufacture his products and export them to the world from the emirate.

Ashraf Thayyil, CEO of Bridgeway Medical Systems, a company that specializes in medical devices and assisted living, said that the trade mission was a success, as it had supported him in understanding regulations, registration processes and incentives provided in the three markets. His aim is to manufacture his products and semi-assemble them in Dubai, then transport them to the Central Asian markets and fully assemble them there. Thayyil pointed out that Dubai is a proactive city and global center for trade,

technology and innovation, having everything fully aligned with the goals of D33.

Khair: With the help of Dubai International Chamber, he expects to expand into Central Asian markets before the end of the year as his discussions were fruitful.

Elias Khair, General Manager of Halley Medical Supplies, said that the trade mission was successful and professionally organized. It has helped him familiarize with the three new markets and their requirements for medical supplies. In addition to gathering information and data on the market, Khair said that the mission also helped him understand the procedures of doing business and customs practices. With the help of Dubai International Chamber, he expects to expand into Central Asian markets before the end of the year as his discussions were fruitful.
