DMT TO SHOWCASE ITS KEY PROJECTS AND DIGITAL INITIATIVES AT GITEX 2022

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 07 October 2022: The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) is preparing to participate in the 42nd GITEX Technology Week at Dubai World Trade Centre from 10 to 14 October 2022. DMT will showcase its key projects, services, and smart and digital initiatives at the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion along with 30 other government entities that will collectively present more than 100 innovative projects and initiatives.

The exhibition, a global technology platform, offers the Abu Dhabi government a chance to showcase the government’s initiatives in digital services and solutions, data and artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. These initiatives are designed to support, enable, and provide a secure digital government infrastructure.

DMT and its affiliated entities will showcase a set of new and innovative digital initiatives, programs and projects that support the complete digital transformation of government work during the exhibition period. The projects and initiatives cover DMT’s sectors, including integrated transport, real estate, municipal services, urban planning, and infrastructure.

The new initiatives reflect DMT’s commitment to advancing sustainable urban development, innovation and growth to position Abu Dhabi as a preferred place to live, work and visit.

DMT and its affiliates will have a strong presence at the innovative digital technology event, showcasing various innovative projects and digital solutions that support the Abu Dhabi government’s digital transformation, focusing on developing activities and services that enhance Abu Dhabi’s liveability.

The department will also highlight one of its most recent significant achievements of successfully transferring all its services digitally to the “Tamm” platform in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Digital Government and the “Tamm” unified digital platform team. The department and affiliated entities took into account the needs of residents and offered them digital services as requested as part of their efforts to enhance the quality of services and reduce customers’ waiting times.

During GITEX Technology Week, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about and experience DMT’s innovative and pioneering services, aimed at improving the quality of life for Abu Dhabi residents and empowering businesses as part of the Department’s aim to drive economic growth.

In addition to strengthening partnerships and collaboration with various government entities and companies in the technology industry, DMT will exchange knowledge of practical applications of new technological developments, which will contribute to the promotion of Abu Dhabi Emirate as an industry leader in digital transformation.

The Department of Municipalities and Transportation (DMT) was established by Law No. 30 of 2019 and is the entity responsible for managing the urban planning and transport sectors, and three regional municipalities.
