Dubai, UAE,Business News: Papa Johns, launches its first collection of cool, collectable and greener NFTs, known as non-fungible tokens, as part of the metaverse’s biggest ever free NFT giveaway in the UAE. The NFTs also feature for the first time in the second drop of Papa Johns’ Papa X Cheddar marketing campaign.
Aiming to allow its fans across the globe to get a slice of the NFT hype, the collection boasts 19,840 NFTs* made up of nine pizza hot bag inspired designs, which will drop on several dates throughout March.
By scanning a QR code on a pizza box leaflet, pizza fans can get a slice of the NFT world and their hands on an uber cool NFT design – with names such as the ‘Papa 1984’ and ‘Papa Cheese Melt.’
Papa Johns’ NFT Hot Bags have been minted on Tezos, an energy-efficient Proof of Stake blockchain, which means the NFTs are also energy-efficient.
The ‘Papa 1984’ NFT bag, takes its cues from the Gen Z trend for insulated streetwear, with echoes of the heat-preserving pizza hot bags, blended as a unique fashion accessory. With a logo repeat and a practical, adjustable cross body strap alongside the tote handle, this NFT design is available in three block colourways, with a colour pop tag.
The ‘Papa Cheese Melt’ and Papa Tag’ NFT bags incorporate street art graffiti graphics with dance fashion styling, to spotlight the hip-hop scene from around the same time Papa Johns opened its doors in 1984.

All nine designs are inspired by the Papa X Cheddar collaboration which launched last year, a drop of street-style delivery driver uniform garments and accessories, sold via the international fashion marketplace Depop.
