Dubai, Business News: Edenred UAE’s, a leading payroll platform, introduces the UAE’s first eco-friendly salary cards made of recycled polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic.
The new sustainable salary cards issued by Edenred UAE are made of 85,5% recyclable PVC and are printed with recyclable ink. The recycled PVC originates from printing and packaging industrial waste from Europe and can save up to 3.18g industrial waste per card. Moreover, the cards can be recycled up to eight times for reuse. These eco-friendly cards will be available from December 2021 to all Edenred UAE customers and can be used instore and online worldwide.
Edenred UAE is committed to reducing its carbon footprint, consumption of resources and waste, and managing the impact of its solutions during their lifetime. For Good.” Adopting an eco-design approach to these solutions, whether physical or digital, is one of the key priorities of Edenred’s environmental policy. The eco-friendly cards are part of Edenred’s efforts to support a sustainable economy as recycled PVC require less energy to produce than traditional plastic cards.

Edenred eco-friendly salary cards have an innovative vertical design, which includes a new recycle badge on the back of the card to help consumers distinguish cards made from recyclable PVC.
Research by the Boston Consulting Group has shown that 81% of the UAE consumers are aware of climate change and have a high willingness to live more sustainably.
